FS2004, Maupiti airport, French Polynesia.....NTTP

Description:

This is a whole new Maupiti. It contains the terminal, tower, helipad, boat docking area to get to the main island, and an afcad by Ray Smith, which makes the airport come alive at night with runway lighting, and blue marker lights around the tarmac. This island is often referred to as a mini version of Bora Bora, and it is just a short hop from there. It is the smallest airport in the Society Islands, and one of the smaller islands also. The airport is also located out on one of the motus, or coral reefs surrounding the island, and as with Bora Bora it is necessary to take a boat from the airport to the main island. Aircraft which use this airport are mainly Air Tahiti ATR's, or tourist helicopters.

Installation:

1. Extract the zip into your main FS2004 Addon Scenery folder, or into a temporary folder, and then move it there, which ever method you prefer.

2. Start up FS2004 and when the welcome screen, or initial menu comes on, select settings, then click on Scenery Library, and Add Area. Find the Addon Scenery folder and open it, then find the MaupitiV2 folder and click on it. The name MaupitiV4 should now appear in the title window, then click OK. Then you will see MaupitiV2 at the top of your scenery library list, and click the OK tab at the bottom.

3. That's it! You must first exit FS2004, and when you restart it your scenery will be there. It is not necessary to use the Addon Scenery option to locate this scenery, simply go to the airport in FS.

Notes:

The terminal of this airport sits on crushed gravel, so I have used a coral texture to depict this, which comes out basically very white. It may appear to many that their texture is not showing up, but this is just the nature of using nearly white textures. The photo I have enclosed in this file of the real Maupiti does not show the entire terminal. If you wish to see a better photo of it go to the Maupiti seismic station web site. I would have enclosed one of these photos, but could not get them to format, or be recognized by any of my photo programs.

Feel free to contact me for whatever reason. I have a new scenery design screen name which is exclusively for questions, compliments, problems, or anything related to my scenery. If you use the name of the scenery in your subject, or the word scenery, it will make it easier for me not to delete your E-mail.
